Yoga
Yoga is a 5000 year old system of health. Many forms of Yoga have evolved over the years, but here we teach classical Indian Yoga which ensures the mind and breath are balanced, as well as the physical body. This helps achieve mental and emotional wellbeing, as well as physical health.

The main practice drawn from is Hatha Yoga. Hatha Yoga aims to retain the vitality of the person, slow the ageing process, decrease the chance of disease and create peace of mind.

A typical class will consist of meditation (dhyana), breathing exercises (pranayama), flowing movement (vinyasa), steady poses (asanas) and relaxation (savasana). Techniques from Ashtanga, Kundalini and Restorative Yoga are also taught, depending on the physical and energetic needs of the students. Pregnancy Yoga is also available.

After practice, students report feeling calmer, energised and more able to focus. Posture and balance improve, aches and pains diminish, even the digestion and circulation get better.

The body becomes flexible, stronger, leaner and toned. The mind becomes more peaceful, the emotions more balanced. Improvements have been reported in back pain, arthritis, panic attacks, obesity, high blood pressure, headaches, insomnia and depression.
